For the first time in Jordan, the First Archaeological Festival 2018 was lunched on September 2018! One hundred fifty children from Amman schools were entertained at the festival, which SCHEP organized under it’s the Generations 4 Heritage program in cooperation with Jordan Friends of Archaeology&Heritage. The goal of this festival was to encourage students’ enthusiasm for learning about archaeology, and to enhance their passion for protecting our cultural heritage. Kids participated in seven workshops throughout the day, including making their own mosaics, pottery making and reconstruction, sifting sands, wall conservation, and learning to read and write in Thamudic. They also enjoyed listening to a storyteller.
