Summary

The trip was organized to explore the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. The main areas visited were Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.

 

In Tashkent, the tour included a visit to Hazet Imman Ensemble, Kukeldash Madrasa, and Chorsu Bazar.

Samarkand is
 among the oldest continuously inhabited cities iCentral Asia. The group visited the following sites; Reghistan, Shir Dor Madrasa, Bibi Xanom Mausoleum and Madras Sho-I Zinda- Necropolis, Ulugh Beg Observatory, Afrosiyob Museum, Hasrati Hisir Mosque, Mausoleum Ruxabad and Gur-e Emir. 

During the visit to Bukhara, the group toured the old city and the western part of the city. The tour of Buxoro, Toprak and Xi’va, took 10 hours’ drive because these sites are allocated on bad roads.

Finally, at Khiva; which is split into two parts, the outer town, and the inner town. The group visited both the old town, the northern gate, the Ok mosque, Friday Mosque, Museum for Applied Arts, the Tanur, the wood carving workshop, and many other sites of interest. At night the group toured Khiva by night.
